Job Title: Field Credit Officer
Location: Abia

Job Purpose
The Field Credit Officer will be responsible for onboarding and managing businesses that utilize our credit products. This role requires growing a profitable loan portfolio by ensuring timely repayment of loans.
Key duties include assessing businesses during their credit application process, using advanced tools to monitor their performance, and evaluating creditworthiness based on the 5Cs of credit, with an emphasis on capacity, character, and capital. The role also involves making informed recommendations to management throughout the loan process while considering relevant economic factors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard eligible businesses within your assigned location to open business accounts with Moniepoint.
- Ensure customers actively use their accounts to qualify for credit access.
- Analyze loan applications thoroughly and make approval or decline decisions based on available data.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess potential borrowers, evaluate business records, inventory, and turnover.
- Achieve loan portfolio growth targets while maintaining portfolio profitability and ensuring all loans are performing.
- Monitor active loan accounts to ensure repayment and continued account usage.
- Perform additional credit-related tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of an OND in a business-related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in a sales role focused on credit products within a financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk analysis.
- Financial analysis skills are an added advantage.
- Must be a resident of Abia State.
