How to apply for NG CARES World Bank Grants/loans in Nigeria 2024

In response to the COVID-19 epidemic and in line with the vision and vision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to eradicate 100 million Nigerians from poverty within a decade, the Federal Government of Nigeria on behalf of 36 states and the FCT $ received and $ 750 in loans to government loans and FCT to implement a two-year emergency response program called Nigeria COVID-19 Motion Recovery and Financial Incentives (NG-CARES). Each country allocated $ 20 million ex-ante, $ 15 million FCT and $ 15 million to the Federal Directorate of CARES.

The NG-CARES program aims to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 disaster on the lives of the poor, farmers, vulnerable families, communities and smallholder farmers. Funding is a state-of-the-art (RforR) program by the state and the FCT, while federal funding is supported by the International Challenge Fund (IPF).But there are websites provided  for different states including in which you could use to apply online .

CATEGORIES OF NG CARES LOANS/GRANT

The NG CARES comprises of different but there major ones that Entrepreneurs can apply

  1. INFORMAL BUSINESS: these are businesses that have not been formalized. These businesses have not been registered with Corporate Affairs Commission
  2. FORMAL BUSINESS: these are businesses that have been formalized , that’s they are registered with Corporate Affairs Commission

HOW MUCH CAN ONE ACCCESS FROM NG CARES PROGRAMESS

How much you can access from NG CARES is dependent on the status of your business venture­. Informal businesses will receive from 100,000 to 1,000000 Naira while Formal Business will receive 1 million and above.

Ng CARES disbursement is done by the 36 state government including FCT and as such disbursement method is not centralized.

Each statement Government can decide their time of disbursement.
