About the Role
We are creating a talent pool of skilled and driven Data Analytics Specialists for future openings at Flutterwave. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about data, committed to making an impact, and ready to tackle complex challenges. In this role, you’ll analyze data, generate insights, and influence strategic decisions. Your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the direction of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver analytics reports and Business Intelligence dashboards to support business functions.
  • Translate data and analysis into actionable insights for internal teams.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by partnering with stakeholders to define challenges and implement analytics-driven solutions.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships across teams such as Engineering, Product, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Support the design, implementation, and improvement of analytical processes aligned with business goals.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable reports and insights.
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences using compelling storytelling techniques.
  • Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address challenges like customer churn, fraud detection, and revenue forecasting.
  • Conduct statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, and A/B testing to guide decision-making.
  • Utilize tools like Python or R to build and optimize machine learning models.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and global best practices when handling personal information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related domain.
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methodologies to solve real-world business problems.

Skills and Expertise

  • Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Experience with Python (preferred) for data analysis and machine learning.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including regression, classification, and clustering.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their data services is an advantage.
  • Commitment to ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, capable of simplifying technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
  • Attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across departments.
