Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Unit Head for Workflow and Enterprise Application Development to oversee the successful completion of all projects within the unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assigning tasks to the team, ensuring workload balance, and liaising with relevant stakeholders to understand and meet their data and reporting needs. The role involves managing an application team, developing accurate work request delivery estimates, and ensuring compliance with defined blueprints and standards. The Unit Head will also participate in the planning and improvement of application systems and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the successful completion of all tasks within the Workflow & Enterprise Application Development Unit.
- Assign work to team resources and balance workload effectively.
- Collaborate with the EA office to ensure data and information compliance with defined blueprints and standards.
- Consult with relevant stakeholders to understand their data and reporting requirements.
- Direct the development of accurate estimates for work request delivery and application support services.
- Lead the development, building, configuration, and unit testing of Workflow & Enterprise Application solutions using various computer platforms.
- Ensure solutions align with the requirements outlined in the design documentation.
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of report deliveries.
- Review technical constraints and performance issues of Enterprise solutions.
- Assist in planning the introduction of new application systems.
- Manage and report on the progress of team tasks and objectives.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of maintenance and development processes.
- Manage expectations of the team’s internal and external customers.
- Communicate the Application team goals, organizational philosophies, policies, and procedures clearly to the team.
- Coordinate and facilitate the creation of Workflow & Enterprise solutions development documentation.
- Enhance Workflow & Enterprise systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to reports.
- Serve as a member of the IT Services and Supplier Relationship Committee.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in a business/IT related discipline.
- Masters, MBA, or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering solutions.
- 6+ years of management experience with 2+ years spent in a senior management role.
- Experience in Enterprise solution architecture and design.
- Familiarity with Cloud Solution architecture and design.
