Job Purpose
As a Field Credit Officer, you will be responsible for identifying and managing businesses interested in our credit products. Your goal will be to expand your loan portfolio while ensuring profitability through timely loan repayments. This role requires evaluating businesses during credit applications and using advanced tools to monitor their performance throughout the loan lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will also include analyzing various data sources related to the 5Cs of credit, with a primary focus on capacity, character, and capital. You’ll provide strategic recommendations to management before, during, and after loan disbursement, factoring in economic considerations to guide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and onboard businesses in your designated area to open accounts with Moniepoint.
  • Engage customers to optimize account usage, enabling them to qualify for credit access.
  • Analyze loan applications thoroughly and decide on approvals or rejections based on the data provided.
  • Conduct on-site visits to assess potential borrowers’ business operations, inventory, and turnover.
  • Achieve portfolio growth and profitability by maintaining an active loan base with consistent repayment performance.
  • Monitor active loans to ensure proper use of accounts and repayment compliance.
  • Handle other credit-related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an OND in a business-related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a sales role involving credit products within a financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of credit risk analysis.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis is an added advantage.
  • Must reside in Abia State.
