Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and potential for excellence
- Exhibit clear evidence of leadership abilities and a drive for positive impact
- Show proof of financial need
- Be a young woman passionate about pursuing a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
- Be an internally displaced person or an individual living with a disability
- Show a proven commitment to contributing to their communities
Academic Requirements:
- Must have passed WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB with at least five (5) credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three other subjects from Arts, Sciences, or Social Sciences, in no more than two sittings.
- Must have achieved a minimum UTME score of 220. Acceptable UTME subject combinations include English Language and any three subjects from Social Sciences, Arts, or Sciences.
Application and Selection Process
The admission and scholarship selection process follows a structured pathway:
Step 1: Satisfy Academic Criteria
Applicants must possess a minimum of five O’Level credits, including English and Mathematics, from no more than two examination sittings.
Step 2: Submit Expression of Interest
Candidates who are yet to take the UTME should complete an online interest form to begin the pre-screening process and signal their intention to apply.
Step 3: Take the UTME Examination
All applicants must sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board – Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (JAMB UTME). A minimum score of 220 is required.
Step 4: Complete the Full Application
Candidates with current UTME results must fill out the full application form online, including personal data, academic background, and supporting documents.
Step 5: Screening and Interview
Applications are evaluated against the program’s selection criteria. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, which may be conducted either virtually or in person depending on the applicant’s location.
Step 6: Admission and Award Notification
Successful applicants will receive official admission into Pan-Atlantic University along with a scholarship award letter under the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program.
