About the Program
The training program is part of Nigeria’s broader digital transformation and privacy awareness campaign. It focuses on building a new generation of data protection professionals who are aware of their digital rights and responsibilities, as well as the legal and ethical frameworks governing data in Nigeria and beyond.
Given the country’s recent Data Protection Act and the requirement for over 500,000 organizations to appoint Data Protection Officers (DPOs), this initiative offers a timely pathway for youth to tap into future-focused job roles and entrepreneurship.
