Job Description

You will function as the Group’s Enterprise Risk Manager in the Risk department, ensuring that our risk policies, processes, and reporting align with relevant guidelines and best practices. Your mission is to oversee and manage all non-credit related risks in the business, ensuring full compliance with statutory guidelines for our Microfinance Bank.

As the Enterprise Risk Manager, you will lead regular reporting for the Nigerian business, required by both regulators and our internal compliance team. Additionally, you will be a key participant in preparing for CBN and NDIC risk-based audits, contributing to decisions involving business and strategic processes.

Job Responsibilities

Implement the Company’s Risk Management Policy Framework, ensuring prudent identification, assessment, measurement, control, and management of key risks.
Manage all aspects of enterprise risk, designing assessment and management policies, processes, guidelines, and reports.
Develop initiatives to mitigate the company’s risk exposure.
Continuously monitor risk exposure, flagging areas of concern and ensuring compliance.
Lead ERM special projects, including risk training, automation tools, and maintenance of policies.
Monitor key risk ratios and ensure compliance with set limits.
Stay informed about regulatory requirements, provide advice, and prepare necessary position statements.
Participate in the review of the Bank’s Investment Policy and ALM Policy.
Conduct periodic stress tests on risk metrics, recommend measures to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Prepare MRC reports and ensure implementation of agreed resolutions.
Implement Business Continuity Plan, coordinate regular tests, and follow up on observed gaps.
Work on ISO and PCI-DSS certification with relevant stakeholders.
Prepare monthly/quarterly reports.
Job Requirements

Over 8 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrable knowledge of Enterprise risk management in a Digital Bank.
Strong knowledge of CBN regulations, including prudential guidelines for MFBs.
Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in data.
Drive processes with strong communication and process management skills.
