Apply for NNPC OANDO Scholarship 2025 – Get Financial Aid of Up to ₦200,000 Annually!

NNPC OANDO National Joint Venture (JV) Scholarship 2025

The NNPC OANDO National Joint Venture (JV) Scholarship is a financial assistance program aimed at supporting Nigerian students enrolled in tertiary institutions. This initiative offers successful applicants an annual financial grant of ₦200,000, which will be provided each year from the time of selection until they complete their studies at their current university.

About the Scholarship

As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), the NNPC/NAOC/OANDO Joint Venture invites qualified Nigerian students to apply for the 2025 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme. The scholarship application process will be open from March 27 to April 30, 2025.

Types of Scholarship Awards

Applicants can apply under one of the following award categories:

  1. Host/Transit Communities Merit Award: This category is strictly for students who are indigenes of OANDO’s Host and Transit Communities.
  2. National Merit Award: This category is open to students from other parts of Nigeria who are not from Host/Transit Communities.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be full-time undergraduate students currently enrolled in a recognized Nigerian tertiary institution.
  • Be in 100 level at the time of application (only students admitted during the 2024/2025 academic session are eligible).
  • Hold Nigerian citizenship.
  • Not be receiving any other scholarship from organizations operating within the Oil and Gas industry, whether domestic or international.

Who is Not Eligible to Apply?

  • Students who are already benefiting from another scholarship program provided by companies or government agencies.
  • Dependents of personnel associated with NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA.
  • Only students who are indigenes of Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States and belong to NAOC Host/Transit Communities can apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only students pursuing Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, or Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.

Scholarship Benefits

Each selected student will receive an annual financial grant of ₦200,000, which will be awarded throughout the duration of their academic program.

Required Documents for Application

Applicants must provide the following documents:

  • A recent passport photograph (white background, taken within the last three months, 450px by 450px, not exceeding 200KB).
  • A valid School Identification Card.
  • O’level Result Certificate.
  • Admission Letter issued by the institution.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Proof of Local Government Area (LGA) of Origin.
  • Letter from the Community Paramount Ruler (only for Host Communities Merit Award applicants).
  • Letter from the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman (only for Host Communities Merit Award applicants).
  • JAMB Result Slip.
