The Farmers for the Future (F4F) Grant is a specialized initiative aimed at empowering young Nigerians in agribusiness. The program offers equity-free funding and vital business development support to innovative agripreneurs looking to grow sustainable ventures.
This initiative is led by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation (BATNF) in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and implemented by FATE Foundation. It targets currently serving NYSC members who own or are developing viable agribusinesses, with the aim of encouraging youth participation in agriculture as a tool for economic empowerment.
Program Structure
The F4F Program is a fully virtual experience focused on building strong, scalable agribusinesses. It includes training, mentorship, and access to finance. Participants will go through a carefully designed curriculum delivered by top industry professionals and business experts across the agribusiness and entrepreneurship sectors.

The structure is designed to be interactive and engaging, combining virtual classroom sessions, workshops, group activities, case studies, and networking opportunities.
Who Should Apply?
- Young Nigerians currently serving in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
- Entrepreneurs with viable and scalable agribusiness ideas or startups
- Individuals passionate about agriculture and committed to building a business within the agribusiness value chain
Application & Selection Process
- Online Application:
Submit your application via the dedicated portal. - Virtual Bootcamp:
The top 20 selected businesses will undergo a rigorous virtual bootcamp to refine their business models and pitch strategies. - Pitch & Awards:
The 10 most promising businesses will pitch to a panel of industry experts. The top 3 winners will be selected based on their business potential and presentation. - Grant & Mentorship:
Winners will receive funding and mentorship to scale their businesses, alongside access to strategic networks and investment opportunities. - Alumni Network:
All winners will become members of the exclusive Farmers for the Future Alumni Network, granting them ongoing access to resources, mentorship, and new market opportunities.

- ₦2 million for the 2nd place winner
