Scholarship Eligibility and Requirements
The scholarship is exclusively available for students pursuing STEM-related fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
The WAAW Foundation seeks candidates who demonstrate financial need, possess a strong passion for STEM, and show a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a female student of African descent, residing and studying in Africa.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
- Studying a STEM-related course at a university or college in Africa.
- Must be a first-year or second-year student, or a third-year student in a 5-year program.
- Must demonstrate financial need.
- Have an excellent academic record.
- Show evidence of leadership skills, volunteer experience, and community service.
- Be under the age of 32.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the WAAW Foundation Scholarship will receive a one-time award of $500.
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents through the online application portal:
- Two reference letters (to be submitted directly by your referees).
- A signed and sealed copy of your current university transcript.
- A scanned copy of your university student ID card.
