Mission

This role is pivotal in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex data to generate statistical and analytical reports. The goal is to provide actionable insights that guide sales activities and initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Description

  • Performance Evaluation: Assess performance against key sales metrics such as gross connection growth, sales channels, retail points, trade, and data partners. This involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting a broad range of sales data to develop weekly or monthly reports for business review meetings.
  • Regional Engagement: Engage with regional teams to follow up on trade activities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall sales strategies and goals.
  • Database Management: Maintain a robust, reliable database to track and enhance channel services and provide essential information for channel business decisions.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date (YTD) measurement reports. Build detailed daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports, including channel reports, trade, and retail activities, as well as geographical reporting.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Develop and utilize data collection instruments and methods to evaluate operational data for effective sales planning. This includes specifying report requirements, extracting data from various sources, and using tools such as SAS, Power BI, and Oracle SQL to perform in-depth analysis.
  • Sales Health Indicators: Provide ongoing and ad hoc reports on key “health indicators” of sales through data analysis, identifying trends, and suggesting strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor sales activities and implement countermeasures as needed to retain market competitiveness.
  • Network Analytics: Support the application of network analytics in driving sales planning efficiency and effectiveness, as well as targeted localized interventions to address specific market needs.

Educational Qualification

  • A First Degree in a numerate discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in English.

Experience

  • 3–7 years of relevant experience, including:
    • A minimum of 3 years in a specialized area, with experience in supervising or working closely with others.
    • Experience in a medium-sized organization with a background in project planning and reporting, sales and marketing, or related functions.
    • Proven experience using data mining tools.
    • Telecoms experience would be an added advantage.
