For Every Child, a Commitment.
About UNICEF and Its Mission
UNICEF’s core purpose is to uphold the rights of all children, ensuring their survival, development, and well-being. Guided by the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF prioritizes equity, aiming to support the most marginalized and underserved families and communities. Equity ensures that every child has an equal opportunity to thrive, free from discrimination or bias.
Research confirms that investing in the education, health, and safety of disadvantaged children not only benefits them individually but also fosters long-term stability and economic growth within societies. This dual approach—advancing children’s rights and promoting equitable development—is at the heart of UNICEF’s mission.
