United Bank for Africa (UBA) proudly presents the National Essay Competition, open to senior secondary students in Nigeria. This event is a recurring initiative driven by the UBA Foundation, aimed at nurturing a reading culture and fostering healthy intellectual competition among secondary school students, not only in Nigeria but also across the African continent.

Eligibility Criteria: To participate, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

1. Must be a Nigerian secondary school student.
2. Submit a recent passport photograph.
3. Provide a scanned copy of your National ID or Passport.
4. Upload a scanned copy of your original birth certificate or international passport data page.
5. Submit a handwritten essay, not exceeding 750 words, on the designated portal.

“Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) take over Human Intelligence? What should students do to ensure AI doesn’t override but enhances their ability to learn through research?”

Prizes:

Winner: ₦5,000,000 plus an educational grant to any African university of your choice.
