The Thomas Jefferson Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGRAD) 2024/2025 provides fully funded scholarships for young Tunisians aspiring to study in the USA.

The Tunisia Thomas Jefferson Program for the academic year 2024/2025 is now accepting applications for the fully funded Thomas Jefferson Tunisia Undergraduate Scholarship Program (UGRAD). The deadline for application submission is November 27, 2023, at 5 p.m. Tunis time.

This scholarship opportunity is designed for full-time undergraduate students from Tunisia, offering a year of nondegree study at a U.S. university or college. The program aims to contribute to economic growth, stability, and democratic development in Tunisia by providing essential skills to youth, enabling them to lead positive change in their professional and community spheres through academic, professional, and leadership opportunities.

Eligibility criteria ensure a fair selection process without discrimination based on color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, or any other protected characteristic according to U.S. law. The program is open to Tunisian citizens residing in Tunisia, enrolled as full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing at a registered institution in Tunisia. Applicants must not be in their final year of undergraduate studies at the time of application.

Architecture students are eligible in their first through fifth years of study, while engineering students can apply in their first or second year (preparatory classes), and third and fourth years of undergraduate study. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by July 1, 2024, commit to returning to Tunisia after program completion, be capable of obtaining a U.S. J-1 visa, achieve a TOEFL score of at least 500, and complete the academic year prior to studying in the United States with a passing average.
