The Africa kommt fellowship Programme 2024/2026 designed for future leaders from Africa ( fully funded to Germany)

Applications are currently being accepted for the AFRIKA KOMMT! Fellowship Programme 2024/2026, commencing in November 2024 in Germany. This initiative unites forward-thinking young leaders from Africa with leading German companies, fostering knowledge exchange and providing a distinctive African perspective to benefit these companies.

The AFRIKA KOMMT! fellowship programme presents an exceptional one-year opportunity for talented African professionals seeking career and life transformation. It targets extraordinary individuals willing to expand their skills, knowledge, and experience, emphasizing sustainable cooperation with the German industry to drive economic and social development in their home countries.

Eligibility criteria include being a citizen of any African country, holding a relevant university degree (a postgraduate degree such as an MBA is advantageous), possessing two to five years of work experience, excellent English language skills, basic knowledge of German (preferable but not mandatory), and being under 35 years old at the time of application.

Benefits of the programme include comprehensive financial coverage by participating companies, encompassing flights, accommodation, monthly stipend, trainings, and language courses.

The AFRIKA KOMMT! programme spans three phases: Selection and Preparation, One-Year Stay in Germany, and Alumni Phase. It includes components such as a professional and tailored selection process, language and cultural integration, management training, an 8-month fellowship in a partner company, and an alumni phase where fellows contribute as knowledge transfer ambassadors.

The application process involves checking eligibility, reviewing available fellowship placements, registering on the official website, and submitting the application form in English, along with a short presentation about motivation, an idea for a change initiative, a photo, and certificates. The change initiative aims to address social and economic challenges in the fellows’ home countries.

Applicants can expect feedback within 8-12 weeks after the application period ends, with the possibility of a short telephone interview and an invitation to a 2-day assessment center for successful candidates.
