Job Summary
The Chief Strategy Officer will play a vital role in driving the company’s growth and success. They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic initiatives and long-term planning. Working closely with the executive team, they will identify exciting opportunities for growth, analyze market trends, and shape the overall strategy of Dangote Cement Plc.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and enhance profitability.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging threats and opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans across the organization.
- Provide guidance and strategic direction to business units, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and industry experts to stay abreast of market trends and best practices.
- Lead and manage a team of strategy professionals, providing guidance and support to drive results.
- Monitor and report on the progress of strategic initiatives to key stakeholders and the executive team.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry developments and changes in the competitive landscape.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the executive team.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- We are looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- It is essential to have proven minimum of 20 years experience in strategic planning, business development, and corporate strategy.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Chief Strategy Officer or similar, is highly desirable.
