Position: Receipt Officer

Responsibilities:

  1. Record all AGO/Fuel trucks received at their respective locations.
  2. Conduct physical inspections and ullage measurements of all arriving trucks before discharge.
  3. Address any driver-related issues upon arrival to facilitate smooth product discharge activities with the Stores Team.
  4. Ensure strict adherence to receipt protocols following approved SOP from weighbridge to flow meters, along with prevailing density measurement, with meticulous documentation.
  5. Timely sharing of information regarding arrived trucks’ status.
  6. Participate in and observe daily tank measurements while maintaining records of opening and closing balances for each tank to support validation of stores reports.
  7. Promptly escalate any issues affecting the integrity of received products, including ullage, truck calibration chart verification, shortages, etc.
  8. Report discrepancies between weighbridge and flow meters at receiving locations and advise on calibration needs, if necessary.

Qualifications:

  • HND/B.Sc. in Social Science, Humanities, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas downstream sector or Transport/Haulage company.
  • Possession of relevant Professional Certification is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in understanding petroleum product/storage tank behavior.
  • Familiarity with loading/offloading Measurement Parameters (Flow meters, weighbridge, Ullage, etc.).
  • Competent in managing drivers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications for regular reporting, with essential expertise in Excel spreadsheet usage.
