NNPC/NAE Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme 2025/2026

Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited, acting on behalf of the NNPC/NAE Production Sharing Contract (PSC), continues its dedication to human capital development as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. In line with this commitment, NAE invites qualified and motivated Nigerian graduates to apply for its 2025/2026 Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme.

This prestigious scholarship is available in two distinct categories:

  1. International Category – For candidates pursuing postgraduate studies at reputable institutions abroad.
  2. Local Category – For candidates admitted into approved Nigerian universities.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the NAE Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Must hold a minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university.
  • Must have secured admission into a recognized university, either within Nigeria or overseas, for a one-year full-time Master’s program in a qualifying field.
  • Age limit: Not older than 28 years by December 31, 2025.
  • Completion of the mandatory NYSC (National Youth Service Corps) program is required.
  • For applicants under the overseas category, possession of a valid international passport (valid for at least one year from September 2025) is mandatory.

Applications are invited from candidates pursuing postgraduate degrees in the following disciplines:

  • Geosciences
  • Engineering, including:
    • Petroleum Engineering
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Civil Engineering
    • Subsea Engineering
    • Electrical/Electronics Engineering
    • Marine Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Offshore Engineering
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Renewable Energy Engineering
  • Petroleum Economics
  • Law, specifically with a focus on Oil and Gas or Petroleum Law

Required Documents

All applicants are expected to upload the following scanned documents during the application process:

  1. Recent passport-sized photograph (450 x 450 pixels, white background, taken within the last 6 months).
  2. Provisional admission letter for the 2025/2026 academic session into a postgraduate program (local or international). This must clearly state the exact course for which the applicant is applying.
  3. Bachelor’s degree certificate.
  4. NYSC discharge certificate.
  5. A valid means of identification (National ID card, voter’s card, or driver’s license).
  6. International passport data page (for international applicants only; must be valid for travel beyond September 2026).
  7. Birth certificate issued by a local government authority.
  8. A signed NAE Compliance Declaration Form.
