Job Overview
The Field Credit Officer will play a key role in onboarding and managing businesses that utilize our credit products. This includes building and maintaining a profitable loan portfolio by ensuring timely repayment.
The position involves evaluating businesses during their credit application process and using Moniepoint’s innovative tools to monitor performance throughout the loan lifecycle. You will analyze data related to credit capacity, character, and capital, while providing strategic recommendations to management before, during, and after loan disbursement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard businesses in your designated area, facilitating their opening of Moniepoint business accounts.
- Engage with customers to maximize account usage, helping them qualify for credit access.
- Assess and approve (or reject) loan applications by thoroughly analyzing available data.
- Conduct physical visits to evaluate borrowers’ businesses, reviewing financial records, inventory, and turnover.
- Meet targets for gross loan portfolio growth and portfolio profitability while maintaining high repayment performance.
- Monitor active loans to ensure sustained account usage and adherence to repayment schedules.
- Execute other credit-related tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Minimum OND in a business-related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales roles focused on credit products within a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of credit risk analysis.
- Knowledge of financial analysis is a plus.
- Must reside in one of the following Ogun State LGAs: Ado-Odo/Ota, Egbado North, Egbado South, Ifo, Ijebu East, Ijebu North, Ijebu North East, Ijebu Ode, Ogun Waterside, Shagamu, Ikenne, Odogbolu, or Remo North.
