We are currently seeking to hire a Director of Product Management to join our team.


About the Role

At Moniepoint, our Product team is dedicated to delivering user-focused, innovative solutions that redefine industry standards. The Director of Product Management will play a key role in building, launching, and optimizing products, owning their performance throughout the product lifecycle.

This role requires a strong balance between technical expertise, customer insight, and business strategy. As the product owner, you will set performance goals, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure products meet customer needs while aligning with regulatory and internal requirements.


Responsibilities

Management:

  • Own product KPIs and drive the team to achieve defined goals efficiently.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team, including Engineering Managers, Software Engineers, QAs, Designers, and stakeholders from Compliance and Finance.
  • Prioritize initiatives to maximize product performance and meet business objectives.

User Discovery:

  • Plan and execute user research to uncover opportunities and solve customer challenges.
  • Identify product gaps, analyze customer needs, and develop ideas that increase market share, improve user retention, and boost revenue.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscapes to drive product innovation.

Product Development:

  • Clearly define product requirements and ensure alignment between business objectives and engineering priorities.
  • Oversee product development to deliver solutions that meet both current and future customer expectations.

Product Analytics:

  • Set up and track key product metrics to evaluate performance and inform decision-making.
  • Use data insights to refine products, optimize the user experience, and guide the product lifecycle.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Continuously improve product monitoring and issue detection to deliver enhanced customer value.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to address technical debt and ensure product health.
  • Work with marketing teams to design and execute go-to-market strategies and awareness campaigns.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical field such as Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines).
  • 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in product management roles.
  • Proven experience in high-growth, dynamic tech or financial services environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing technical products and cross-functional teams.
  • Evidence of entrepreneurial thinking, self-motivation, and innovative problem-solving.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of web, mobile, and backend technologies, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in analyzing data and using insights to prioritize initiatives and secure internal alignment.
  • Deep expertise in user experience, preferably within fintech, banking, or technology sectors.
  • Experience creating and managing product roadmaps in stakeholder-heavy environments.
  • Proficiency in user research methods, usability testing techniques, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong reporting, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to lead teams while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently in fast-paced settings.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, working effectively across teams (e.g., engineering, marketing, legal).
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and planning capabilities.
