Job Purpose

The Business Development Executive will be pivotal in expanding revenue streams for our Enterprise Merchant Products Suite. This role involves identifying, cultivating, and closing new business opportunities across Nigeria and beyond.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Research and identify potential clients in the target market. Develop and implement strategies to build a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Managing the Sales Cycle: Oversee the sales process from the first interaction to contract negotiation and closure. Build lasting relationships with clients and provide excellent post-sales support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Driving Business Growth: Develop and execute plans to boost revenue and penetrate the market. Identify emerging opportunities and craft strategies to capitalize on them.
  • Partner Management: Collaborate with strategic partners to extend market reach and cross-sell products. Manage and nurture partner relationships to align with business goals.
  • Market Research: Analyze industry trends, customer behavior, and competitors’ activities to refine sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Sales Reporting: Generate regular reports and forecasts to monitor progress, track performance, and pinpoint areas for improvement. Leverage sales data to enhance outcomes.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Enterprise Sales team to achieve shared objectives.

Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in enterprise sales, ideally within the fintech or financial services sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Nigerian business landscape and market dynamics.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with digital payments, mobile banking, or other fintech solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Strong negotiation and deal-closing capabilities.
  • Highly self-motivated and results-driven.
  • Certifications in sales or business development are a plus.
