Job Purpose
The primary objective of the Centrifugal and Air Compressor Engineer is to ensure optimal performance of all compressor systems through regular inspection, maintenance, and timely troubleshooting of any malfunction or system failure.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision and Oversight:
- Manage and supervise the daily activities of the maintenance unit to ensure high performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintenance and Overhauling:
- Conduct regular overhauls and maintenance of centrifugal machinery to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Compressor System Servicing:
- Operate and service air compressor machines, ensuring their reliability and durability.
- Gearbox Maintenance:
- Oversee maintenance of centrifugal pug mills and their associated gearboxes to prevent operational failures.
- Equipment Monitoring:
- Monitor the condition of machinery, perform lubrication tasks, and implement preventive maintenance protocols for all equipment including centrifugal minglers and screw conveyors.

- Timely and effective maintenance of all centrifugal and compressor machinery
- Efficient operation of all compressor machines
- Proper lubrication and condition monitoring of equipment
- Minimal system failures and downtimes
- High compliance with safety and operational standards

- Minimum: B.Sc. or HND in a relevant engineering discipline
Professional Qualifications
- COREN, NSE, or any relevant professional certification is highly advantageous
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of centrifugal and air compressor systems
