How to Apply for Governor Umo Eno empowerment programs ( 50k monthly stipend)

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on ICT, Dr. Frank Ekpenyong, shared this announcement with journalists in Uyo during a presentation on the online platform.

Ekpenyong explained that the portal, which will be launched virtually, will serve as a resource for both the government and the private sector to identify skilled youths for employment in the civil service and private industries.

“The portal is the official online platform where unemployed and underemployed youths in Akwa Ibom State can register to access employment opportunities and training support from both the Akwa Ibom State Government (AKSG) and the Organized Private Sector (OPS),” Ekpenyong said.

He added, “It will act as a pool where the government and private sector can identify skilled youths for targeted employment in both the civil service and private sector. The portal will be open to applicants who are indigenes of Akwa Ibom State and are currently unemployed or seeking employment.”

Ekpenyong also noted that the portal will serve as the official platform for various recruitment and empowerment programs, including:

Recruitment into the Akwa Ibom State Civil Service.

The monthly N50,000 empowerment program for 5,000 youths across the 31 local government areas.

Additionally, the platform will be utilized for executing the various empowerment schemes the governor announced for the state’s youths during recent engagements. Ekpenyong encouraged private companies operating in Akwa Ibom to use the portal for their recruitment needs.
