About the Role
We are actively building a pool of talented Node.js Backend Engineers for future openings at Flutterwave. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, scaling, and maintaining robust backend systems that support our state-of-the-art payment solutions. While this is not a current vacancy, we encourage skilled professionals to connect with us for upcoming opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deliver, and maintain both new and existing product features.
- Prepare technical documentation for feature implementations.
- Conduct research to enhance current features and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure secure coding practices are followed and maintained.
- Provide support for existing product features when required.
- Safeguard personal data in compliance with data privacy regulations, company policies, and global best practices.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Node.js Backend Engineer.
- Proficiency in backend JavaScript (Node.js); experience with TypeScript is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of Git.
- Solid understanding of SQL databases, particularly MySQL; familiarity with ORMs is advantageous.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB; knowledge of ODMs is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Strong research capabilities.
- Excellent time management and commitment to deadlines.
- High attention to detail.
