Position: Acquiring Partnership Manager
As the Acquiring Partnership Manager, your role will focus on building, managing, and optimizing relationships with acquiring banks and financial institutions. You will leverage your expertise in payments—particularly card acquiring operations—to ensure activities align with market standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Additionally, you will spearhead the development, approval, and implementation of strategies for acquiring new partners and managing existing ones.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential partners for card acquiring services.
- Develop and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with partners at all levels, from operations to executive management.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements.
- Conduct strategic planning, market analysis, and execution.
- Coordinate internal activities related to card acquiring.
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive relevant projects to completion.
- Monitor partner performance, including transactions, compliance, and relationship management.
- Address and resolve issues or conflicts effectively, minimizing escalations.
- Propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure the protection and handling of personal data in accordance with privacy policies, laws, and global standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
- Proven experience in compliance or internal audit roles within a Nigerian bank.
- Hands-on experience in card operations at a Nigerian bank.
- Strong knowledge of payments, financial services, and local payment methods.
- Exceptional leadership and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to work on-site with clients as required.
- Ability to adapt to evolving organizational needs and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills, creativity, and autonomy.
- Familiarity with agile work environments and responsiveness to dynamic business needs.

- Fluency in English.
