The Renewed Hope Initiative, led by Senator Oluremi Tinubu, is set to benefit around 37,000 women nationwide through a business recapitalisation grant. This grant, amounting to N50,000 each, will be awarded to 1,000 women from every state and the Federal Capital Territory. The announcement was made during a food item presentation event for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with disabilities and other vulnerable groups in Benue State.

The initiative, represented by Mrs. Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, is scheduled to launch on August 22 across the country. The program is intended to bolster small businesses among women and support the underprivileged, aligning with President Tinubu’s commitment to enhance food security and inclusivity.

Additionally, a truckload of diverse food items will be distributed to the identified groups in Benue State. Governor Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, represented by his deputy Sam Ode, expressed gratitude for this support and promised to further aid in the distribution of these items to those in greatest need. He also acknowledged the President and Vice President for their continued assistance, noting the significant benefits the state has received from the Renewed Hope Initiative.
