Interswitch Settlement Officer

Job Summary:
Interswitch is seeking a dedicated Settlement Officer to manage and oversee daily settlement activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reconciliation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in financial settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and archive settlement reports daily for various financial products.
- Extract, analyze, and validate transaction data to reconcile with NIBSS settlement figures.
- Cross-check automated settlement reports with downloaded records to confirm accuracy.
- Identify, document, and escalate any discrepancies to Interswitch for swift resolution.
- Ensure VAT deductions comply with the 7.5/107.5% inclusive calculation methodology.
- Review all settlement entries before posting to guarantee accurate account debits and credits.
- Coordinate with internal teams and Interswitch to resolve settlement discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to company policies regarding information security, ensuring confidential data is managed appropriately.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or HND in a numerate discipline or any related field.
- At least four years of experience in financial settlement, reconciliation, or a related role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, reconciliation tools, and VAT computations.
