Job Summary
The role is responsible for identifying, preparing, implementing, and monitoring ECOWAS region projects in an assigned sector/subsector. This includes project analysis, appraisal, negotiation of loan agreements, and ensuring compliance with EBID’s procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Identification and Preparation:
Conduct preliminary reviews and analyses of projects.
Assess project sustainability through financial statement analysis.
Project Appraisal and Loan Agreement Negotiation:
Evaluate projects financially and economically.
Prepare evaluation reports, negotiate loan terms, and support risk management.
Funding Setup:
Oversee activities leading to loan agreements.
Monitor loan disbursements and compliance with procurement requirements.
Project Implementation and Monitoring:
Supervise disbursements, monitor project progress, and provide risk recommendations.
Other Duties:
Support investment policy development, financial planning, and model development.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Education: Master’s degree in Financial Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 7 years in financial analysis, modelling, and performance analysis, ideally in a development bank.
Skills:
Knowledge of financing, structured finance, project appraisal, risk analysis, and procurement.
Proficiency in financial modelling and statistical software.
Multicultural team-working ability, strong analytical and organizational skills.
Other Requirements
Nationality: Must be a national of an ECOWAS Member State.
Languages: Fluent in French, English, or Portuguese, with proficiency in one of the other two.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
