Role Overview:
As the Head of Human Asset Management (HAM) and Administration for Dangote Cement Transport, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of approved organizational policies. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the optimal use of both human and material resources to enhance operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of human resources policies and best practices across the Transport Division.
- Promote Dangote’s core values and ensure employee engagement and adherence to the organization’s culture.
- Manage human resources activities such as learning and development, performance management, career growth, leave administration, and dispute resolution.
- Ensure effective fleet operations management in line with organizational goals.
- Oversee reward and recognition programs to maintain a motivated and high-performing workforce.
- Maintain positive employee relations and manage labor issues in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Cultivate strong internal networks and foster productive relationships across various teams.
- Utilize HR technology to streamline administrative processes and improve decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience:
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 20 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a middle management role and 5 years of experience managing fleet operations.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the cement manufacturing industry and human resources management practices.
- Comprehensive expertise in learning and development, performance and career management, leave management, and dispute resolution.
- Familiarity with employee engagement strategies, labor relations, and current labor laws and regulations.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HR applications and administrative tools.
