Corporate Finance Analyst Job Description

As a Corporate Finance Analyst, your principal role (alongside other roles that will be judiciously explained) is to offer analytical support to the units and corporate entities of the business. With the use of data and statistics, you will work collaboratively with business tycoons and creatives to facilitate result-oriented decisions for certain business units within the organisation.

Subsequent Roles and Functions of the Corporate Finance Analyst:

*Design Support: The Corporate Finance Analyst will provide support in the design, maintenance and development of the following:

  1. Timely Report Submission: the applicant will carry out a monthly forecast of budget of which reviews will be conducted monthly and quarterly to ascertain the level of impact and effectiveness on the business.
  2. Capital Analysis: The finance analyst will conduct a month to month working capital and OPEX reports for business units.
  3. The Use of Key Performance Indicator: Applicant for this opening will time to time make use of the Key Performance Indicators model (KPIs) for the business measurement and optimisation.
  4. Project management: Applicant will support the production of financial models, assumption review as well as the prudent management of stakeholders within the organization.

  4. Analysis of Brand Key Players: he or she will monitor and analyze the brand’s key players such as customer acquisition, conversion and retention trends, unit economics, product penetration, sales and productivity.
  5. Collaboration: the finance analyst will work in collaboration with business units and corporate entities by employing the tool of proactiveness.
  6. Business Tracking: the financial analyst will review and possibly track down the emergence of unexpected businesses by carrying out a survey on the mode of operations and sales outcome to further provide a lasting solution to the emerging problem.

*Brand’s Product Knowledge: Applicant will be required to develop an understanding of Moniepoint’s products, strategy and processes to aid monitoring of critical Key Performance Indicators.

*Relationship and Workforce Management: Applicant will need to be a people’s person as he or she will maintain effective relationships with the finance controllers, as well as ensuring a collaborative relationship with the product and trans-cultural operational teams.

Academic Qualifications and Requirements

*Academic Degree: Interested Candidates or Applicants should endeavour to be handy with a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics Finance, Engineering etc.

*Professional Certification: Certificates from professional bodies such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, etc will be a cutting-edge advantage

*Experience: Interested applicants are equally to have a minimum of 4 (four) years of experience in the following analytical roles: FP&A, Strategic and Corporate Finance, Strategy and Operations, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, and or Management Consulting in a multinational environment.

*Troubleshooting Skills: Applicant for this opening must be a principled thinker who pays close attention to details and is abreast of labour and industry trend. Applicant must also be armed with problem solving, dispute resolution and problem simplification skills.

*Computer Literacy: Applicant must be excellent and advanced in the proficient use of Excel, SQL and other data visualization tools.

*Sound Business Acumen: Applicant must have an outstanding level of business and commercial acumen as it will be a useful tool in navigating the business space.

*Communication Skill: Applicant is expected to be an excellent communicator in both the written and verbal aspects of the English Language.

*Great Team Player: Applicant must be a great team player. He must be proactive, self-motivated, goal-oriented and be willing to work in a trans-cultural environment with minimal supervision.

*Report Prepare: Applicant must equally have an experience in the act of preparing professional reports and presentations.

*Project management skills: Applicant must be able to handle sensitive projects, meet deadlines and at the same time work with little or no supervision at all.
