About the Internship Program

Chevron’s Undergraduate Internship Program is an integral part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, designed to align with the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). This initiative provides Nigerian students enrolled in undergraduate and diploma programs the opportunity to gain practical industry experience relevant to their academic training.

The internship offers a robust platform for participants to acquire hands-on technical experience, expand their professional skillset, and engage in real-life business operations. Interns will be assigned roles that correspond with their field of study and will work under the direct supervision of experienced mentors who provide guidance, performance evaluation, and career development support.

Through the duration of the internship, participants will not only contribute meaningfully to the company’s operations but will also benefit from structured learning, mentorship, and exposure to the corporate work environment.


Who Can Apply?

This internship opportunity is open to Nigerian students who meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program, either within Nigeria or internationally.
  • Eligible programs include Bachelor’s degrees, National Diplomas (ND), or Higher National Diplomas (HND).
  • Industrial training must be a mandatory component of the applicant’s academic curriculum.

Program Requirements

  • All applicants must submit a formal letter of recommendation from their academic institution, confirming that industrial training is a compulsory part of their program. This letter must be included in the application submission.
  • The internship duration will range from a minimum of 3 months to a maximum of 12 months, depending on institutional requirements.
  • Applications must be submitted exclusively through the official Chevron application portal.
  • Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • All eligible applications will undergo a shortlisting process, which may include an aptitude assessment. Final selection will be based on candidates’ performance and the availability of internship positions.
