Call for Applications: Abia State TechRise Cohort 2 – Free Tech Skills Training for 850 Youths
The Abia State Government has officially opened applications for the second edition of its groundbreaking TechRise Project, a youth-focused digital empowerment initiative aimed at training 850 young individuals across the state in high-demand technology skills.
This transformative program is a collaborative effort by the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development.

The TechRise Cohort 2 is designed to provide cutting-edge digital skills to young people in Abia State, equipping them for success in the rapidly growing global tech industry. The program will select 50 qualified candidates from each of the 17 Local Government Areas, ensuring fair and inclusive representation across the state.

To qualify for the program, applicants must:
- Be between 16 and 40 years old
- Possess basic computer literacy
- Provide a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Provide an Abia State Social Identification Number (ABSSIN) for verification
