Job Purpose
The Business Development Executive will be pivotal in expanding the market reach of our Enterprise Merchant Products Suite. The role involves identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities within Nigeria and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Prospecting:
- Identify potential clients in target markets.
- Develop and execute strategies to generate a robust pipeline of leads.
- Sales Management:
- Oversee the sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Provide post-sales support to drive satisfaction and retention.
- Market Expansion:
- Develop business plans to grow revenue and penetrate new markets.
- Identify untapped opportunities and devise strategies to seize them.
- Partner Collaboration:
- Work with strategic partners to expand reach and cross-sell solutions.
- Maintain alignment between partnerships and company objectives.
- Market Research:
- Analyze industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs.
- Use insights to refine sales approaches and inform product development.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare detailed sales reports and forecasts to track progress and identify improvements.
- Use data analytics to optimize performance.
- Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Sales team to achieve shared objectives.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in enterprise sales, preferably in fintech or financial services.
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian business environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
- Experience in fast-paced work settings.
- Familiarity with digital payments, mobile banking, or other fintech products.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-driven and goal-oriented.
- Certification in sales or business development is a plus.
