African women-led businesses have a new opportunity to gain global exposure and export knowledge through the ShowcaseHER Program—a fully-funded initiative designed to equip women entrepreneurs with the tools needed to thrive in international trade.
Organized by ImpactHER in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), this six-month virtual training program is designed specifically for women-led Small and Medium Enterprises (WSMEs) across Africa. It begins on August 1st, 2025, and is completely free to participants.
Program Overview
The ShowcaseHER Program aims to prepare women-owned businesses for the export market by building their capacity in key areas such as:
- Export readiness
- Business digitalization
- Access to trade finance
- Mentorship for cross-border trade success
This initiative aligns with the goals of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to promote intra-African trade and ensure that women entrepreneurs are not left behind in the continent’s economic integration.
The program is also a gateway to greater opportunities: participants who successfully complete the program stand a chance to receive a grant of up to $1,000 and an all-expense-paid trip to the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 scheduled to take place in Algiers, Algeria.

- Own and operate a registered SME in any African or Caribbean country. Special consideration is given to businesses based in Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Kenya, and Egypt.
