Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cash Officer to join our Port Harcourt branch. The ideal candidate will manage and coordinate all cash-related operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and top-tier service delivery to customers.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage cash levels in the vault to ensure optimal balance is maintained.
  • Load, reconcile, and manage cash levels in ATMs in line with operational standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate all activities related to cash sorting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, logs, and registers as required for audit and regulatory purposes.
  • Supervise teller operations to ensure accuracy, speed, and compliance with service protocols.
  • Provide prompt and effective customer service at the service desk, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Track and improve transaction turnaround times (TAT) in alignment with agreed service levels.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed accurately and without delays or errors.
  • Execute end-of-day procedures including the preparation of required reports and reconciliations.
  • Enforce strict compliance with fraud prevention measures and avoid regulatory breaches.
  • Provide backup support to the Head of Cash Management and Branch Operations as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or any related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a bank, specifically within cash management or related operational roles.
