The Jim Ovia Scholarship Program
The Jim Ovia Scholarship, funded entirely by Mr. Jim Ovia, CEO of Zenith Bank, offers full tuition coverage and an annual maintenance allowance of N150,000 to successful candidates throughout their academic journey.
Since its inception in October 2010, Mr. Ovia has invested over N100 million in this initiative, benefiting more than 1,500 recipients and counting.
Vision of the Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship program was established to build a network of future Nigerian leaders capable of competing globally, fostering innovation, and contributing to societal advancement in their communities.
Through various initiatives, the Jim Ovia Foundation aims to prepare Nigeria’s youth for the future by enhancing their education and ICT skills, equipping them to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Achievements of the Jim Ovia Foundation
To date, the foundation has supported over 1,500 students and entrepreneurs, disbursing more than N1 billion in educational and entrepreneurial grants. Its notable programs include the Jim Ovia Scholarship, the Jim Ovia ICT Entrepreneurs Program, and the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship (JOFLS) Fund.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Jim Ovia Scholarship, applicants must:
Be Nigerian citizens.
Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited tertiary institution in Nigeria.
Demonstrate academic excellence and leadership skills.
Show a strong commitment to societal development.

Recipients of the 2024 Jim Ovia Foundation Scholarship will receive:
