Innovative African startups now have the opportunity to accelerate their impact with the 2025 Llama Impact Accelerator Program, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support tech-driven ventures building real-world solutions using Llama, Meta’s open-source large language model (LLM).
Focused on four African countries—Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, and Senegal—the program seeks to nurture startups developing scalable AI-powered applications that address urgent local challenges in sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, public safety, and government services.
About the Program
The Llama Impact Accelerator is an intensive 8-month program, divided into two phases:
- A 6-week hands-on accelerator, featuring expert-led workshops, product refinement sessions, and real-time mentorship.
- A 6-month post-accelerator support phase, offering continued access to resources, exposure opportunities, and business development guidance.
The program is uniquely positioned to help early-stage startups build AI solutions using Llama, a family of efficient, open-source LLMs created by Meta. These models are optimized for accessibility, enabling developers to create advanced natural language tools with fewer computational resources.

Startups selected for the accelerator will benefit from:
- Equity-free funding of up to $25,000 to support product development and market entry.
- In-depth technical training tailored to AI application development using Llama models.

- Post-program support to enhance business growth and visibility.
- A chance to pitch at the AMET Llama Summit (Africa, Middle East & Turkey), with the opportunity to secure up to $100,000 in additional funding.
