In the current iteration, the program’s thematic focus aligns with the most urgent challenges identified in Justice Needs and Satisfaction surveys within specific countries. They are actively seeking startups addressing issues such as domestic violence, land disputes, crime, and housing (in Nigeria); employment and SME challenges (in Tunisia, Iraq, and Palestine); and crime, MSMEs, and sexual gender-based violence (in Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Ethiopia).
Participating in the HiiL Justice Accelerator unveils a comprehensive 4-month program featuring:

People-centric solutions addressing justice problems outlined in the 2024 focus
A functional product with evidence of traction (e.g., user base, revenue) showcasing customer demand
Startups in earlier stages are encouraged to explore regional innovation hubs for ideation and incubation programs
A robust founder(s) team
A clear revenue model
Ambition to scale beyond the immediate target market.
