Women at Microsoft (WAM) Scholarship
The Women at Microsoft (WAM) Scholarship is designed to support and empower women and non-binary individuals who aspire to build a career in the technology industry. This scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors who are passionate about pursuing higher education in technology-related fields.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Women at Microsoft Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a graduating high school senior.
- Must self-identify as a woman, non-binary, gender-fluid, or transgender woman.
- Must intend to enroll full-time in an undergraduate program related to technology, engineering, mathematics, or computer science at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical institution in the United States for the upcoming academic year. (International students are eligible to apply if they plan to attend a U.S.-based institution.)
- Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent).

Scholarship Benefits
The Women at Microsoft Scholarship will provide a total of 26 one-time scholarships, each valued at $5,000 USD. The total funding allocated for this scholarship program amounts to $130,000.
Selection Process and Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following factors:
- Academic achievements and performance.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and involvement in extracurricular activities, both in school and the community.
- Relevant work experience.
- A well-articulated statement outlining career aspirations and educational goals.
- Consideration of any unique personal or family circumstances.
- An online recommendation submitted on behalf of the applicant.
Required Documents for Application
To complete the application process, candidates must submit the following:
- One letter of recommendation.
- Official academic transcript.
- A statement detailing their career and educational objectives.
- Financial need will be taken into account; applicants must demonstrate financial need to be considered for the scholarship.
Application Deadline
All applications must be submitted by March 13, 2025.
