Grey Launches the Second Edition of “UpGreyed Her” with $9,500 in Equity-Free Grants for Women Entrepreneurs
Grey, a fintech startup backed by Y Combinator, has officially launched the second edition of its “UpGreyed Her” initiative, a program designed to empower female entrepreneurs. This year, the total grant amount has been increased by 19% compared to the previous edition, with a funding pool of $9,500 available to support women-led businesses.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the UpGreyed Her grant, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- The business must be founded by a woman or have a female co-founder with at least 50% ownership.
- The business must have been in operation for at least three years.
- The founder should be between the ages of 21 and 35.
- Applicants must be citizens or residents of an eligible country within Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, Latin America, the UK, or the US.

Grant Distribution
Grey will award a total of $9,500 in equity-free grants to four exceptional entrepreneurs:
- First-place winner: $4,000
- Second-place winner: $2,000
- Third-place winner: $2,000
- Fourth-place winner: $1,500
Application Process & Deadline
Applications open on Saturday, March 8, 2025, and will close on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Interested entrepreneurs must submit their business details through the official application form. Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit a video pitch and may also be invited for a brief interview before the final selection of winners.
