Meta has introduced the Meta Llama (Large Language Model Meta AI) Impact Innovation Awards, reinforcing its dedication to open science and enabling developers across various sectors to foster innovations, create novel products and solutions, and capitalize on rapid technological and economic progress.
These awards aim to support organizations in Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey that are using Llama 2 or Llama 3 to generate social impact.

Public Services: Use Llama to improve government services in terms of transparency, accountability, and efficiency. This could involve solutions for citizen engagement, AI-driven data analysis, and virtual assistants for navigating government processes.
Healthcare: Apply Llama to enhance health outcomes, streamline clinical workflows, and improve patient experiences. This might include AI diagnostic tools, intelligent tools for healthcare workers, or platforms for personalized medicine.
Safety and Security: Develop innovative solutions using Llama to improve public safety, prevent fraud, and protect vulnerable populations. Examples include AI-powered fraud detection, emergency response chatbots, and predictive analytics for crime prevention.
