Shell Companies in Nigeria is excited to invite applications for its Student Industrial Training Program (SIWES), a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to gain hands-on work experience in a dynamic corporate environment. Eligible Fields of Study
The program is open to students pursuing degrees in the following disciplines:
✔ Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Petroleum, Chemical, etc.)
✔ Geosciences (Geology, Geophysics, etc.)
✔ Information Technology (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.)
✔ Sciences (Pure Sciences, Environmental Sciences, etc.)
✔ Social Sciences & Arts (Economics, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, etc.)
✔ Commercial Fields (Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.)
Objectives of the Program
The Shell Student Industrial Training Program aims to:
✅ Provide students with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical work setting.
✅ Develop essential industry-related skills through hands-on experience, supervision, and feedback.
✅ Enhance soft skills such as communication, teamwork, ethics, Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) practices, and leadership.
✅ Facilitate networking opportunities that can contribute to long-term career growth and professional development.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
✔ Be a Nigerian citizen.
✔ Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree program at a recognized university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
✔ Obtain authorization from their institution to participate in Industrial Training (IT).
✔ Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 or higher on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent).
