Apply for Obama Foundation Scholars Program 2025 in USA (Fully Funded)

The Obama Foundation Scholars Program provides emerging leaders from the United States and around the world a unique opportunity to amplify their impact through an immersive nine-month experience. This program integrates academic coursework, practical projects, and skill-building activities to empower scholars to initiate meaningful change within their communities.

Offered in partnership with Columbia University, Columbia World Projects, and Columbia Global, the program features a comprehensive curriculum that includes leadership development, tailored support, and networking sessions guided by experienced leaders from diverse fields.

Through this program, scholars gain insights, connections, and resources essential for expanding their impact. They are encouraged to reinvest their newly acquired skills, networks, and knowledge to benefit their communities.

The 2025 Obama Foundation Fellowship is fully funded and covers monthly stipends, furnished housing, tuition, travel, and healthcare, supporting scholars as they address complex community challenges.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for the 2025 Obama Foundation Fellowship must:

Be emerging leaders who have made a significant contribution in their field and are at a crucial stage in their careers.
Show a proven dedication to community service and leadership, with a commitment to applying new skills and connections for long-term community benefit.
Be proficient in English, both spoken and written.
Embody values such as inclusiveness, community orientation, integrity, courage, strategic thinking, and resilience.
Benefits
Monthly stipend to cover living costs in New York City.
Furnished studio apartment near Columbia University.
Tuition and fees for up to four courses at Columbia University.
Comprehensive healthcare, including medical, dental, and life insurance.
Round-trip airfare for travel from the scholar’s home country to New York and for any program-related travel.
Leadership development sessions facilitated by the Obama Foundation.

Resume/CV
Personal video statement
Two recommendation letters
Responses to brief essay questions
Proof of English proficiency
To apply, candidates should complete the online application available on the Obama Foundation’s website. Partner organizations affiliated with the Obama Foundation may also nominate applicants.
