   The NNPC/TotalEnergies ETT Fellowship is offering an exceptional opportunity at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to experience a fully-funded semester teaching.

   The NNPC/TotalEnergies fully-funded semester programme is brought to you by the MISTI (MIT International Science and Technology Initiative) NNPC Limited and TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPN).

  The aim of the NNPC/TotalEnergy programme is to facilitate the contribution of Nigeria's soci-economic development through the promotion of quality education by virtue of partnerships with famous institutions that are at local and international levels.

  The ETT fellowship serves as a laboratory for emerging education innovation with the creation of impactful transformation in the academic sphere of Nigeria tertiary institutions as its major goal.

 It was gathered from research that the standards of some African-based tertiary institutions have retrogressed due to the outright neglect and lack of investment thus the mission of MISTI is to map out a creative strategy to approach science and engineering education in African universities who are yet to adopt a focus on troubleshooting, innovation and creativity.

Requirements for Application

Applicants of the NNPC/TotalEnergies Fellowship must meet the following criteria:

*Have an unflinching interest in the development of new curricular and teaching methods as well as consideration of self as an agent of change.

*Must possess a Ph.D and be a member of faculty in a university in Nigeria teaching any of Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or Geophysics.

*Applicants must have a Lecturer One Rank.

Duration and Benefits

*A group of exceptional young faculty members from discipline such as Electrical, Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Geophysics from Nigerian universities will be selected by MIT-ETT.

*These selected fellows will spend a semester at MIT on a trip that is fully-funded in either the Spring of 2024 (February – May 2024) or the Fall of 2024 (September – December) 2024.

*Expenses of Instructional materials for the participants as well as other basic expenses such as cost of travel and living will be covered by the MIT-ETT Programme.

Selected faculty members will observe the following during their time at the MIT.

*In similitude to the ones they currently teach, selected faculty members are to observe at least two classes.

*Applicants are required to upload all required documents and submit application.

*All received applications will undergo a thorough vetting and scrutiny process, of which an MIT committee will establish a list of top candidates that will be announced subsequently.

*The Programme interviews will take place in Lagos with MIT faculty and representatives of NNPC Limited and TotalEnergies during the week of July 22.

*All selected candidates will receive interview notifications at the beginning of July 2024.

*However, only short-listed candidates will be contacted for the selection interview.
