NGO Support Initiative (NSI) Grant – Apply Now

The NGO Support Initiative (NSI) Grant is a program spearheaded by the Development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC), a prominent Nigerian non-profit organization with over three decades of experience in capacity building and fund disbursement. The dRPC supports grassroots civil society organizations (CSOs) focused on gender equality, social inclusion, and community resilience within both development and humanitarian sectors. The NSI Grant is made possible with funding from the Ford Foundation (West Africa Office), Nigeria.

Training for Grant Beneficiaries
Organizations awarded the grant must complete a virtual training consisting of four key modules:

  • Project Management
  • Evidence-Based Advocacy
  • Financial Compliance and Accountability
  • Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC)

Organizations that perform exceptionally during the grant cycle may be referred to impact investors for additional funding and sustainability opportunities.

Who Can Apply? – Eligibility Guidelines

  • Only legally registered NGOs can apply; applications from individuals will not be accepted.
  • Applicants must disclose full details about their leadership and governance structure, though being women-led is not a requirement.
  • NGOs must have at least five years of operational experience.
  • NGOs from any state or Local Government Area (LGA) across Nigeria are eligible.
  • Projects funded by this grant must be completed within three months. Supporting documents such as a formal invitation, proposal call, or proof of platform closure should be attached to the application.

Grant Details and Timeline

  • Maximum grant award: ₦5,000,000.00
  • Implementation period: All funded projects must be executed within 90 days.
  • Community and government collaboration is encouraged during implementation.
  • Application Deadline: May 30, 2025
