MTN Foundation seeks to empower thousands of female Entrepreneurs in Nigeria .
This is done with sole aim to reduce unemployment amongst women and to support the progress of women in entrepreneurship by helping them develop their skills and providing them with financial support such as loans , grant and advisory services ,
This Will ensure their businesses to do well in the long run .
This initiative is aimed at female entrepreneurs all over Nigeria who are have been in their line of business for at least two years and also in the areas of closed-loop economy , agriculture , information and communication technology/digital services . waste management, & development .
In 2022, MTN Foundation launched an entrepreneurship program that empowered 4,711 female entrepreneurs. These women were trained in the areas of business management and development .
This training was a prerequisite that enabled them receive grants and loans from MTN Foundation .
PHASE 2 ACTIVITIES
Female entrepreneurs who will pass through this program will benefit from the following
- Equipment loan support of up to 3 million each to 150 female entrepreneurs
- Consultative Services for Business Guidance
- Flexible loan repayment process to ensure project sustainability
